The Foundation
Shaped Around Your Tradition
Faith is lived out in beautiful and diverse ways. When you begin with Elaya, you make it your own:
Choose your tradition: Whether you are Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, or non-denominational, Elaya tailors its prayer language to honor your church heritage.
Choose your prayer style: Set your preference for classic reverent phrasing or contemporary warmth.
Lives of the Saints: Choose whether you would like to explore the lives and intercessions of the saints, or keep your focus entirely on Scripture and personal prayer. You can adjust this anytime in Settings.
Step 1 · Pray
Bring Whatever is on Your Heart Before God
Whether you are looking to revitalize your daily prayer life, giving thanks for unexpected blessings, seeking clarity on a heavy decision, or dedicating quiet focus to your relationship with God, Elaya helps you set aside dedicated time to draw near to Him.
Simply share whatever is on your mind. Elaya helps you articulate your thoughts into a reverent prayer rooted in Scripture and aligned with your Christian tradition, helping you focus your attention and speak with God with clarity and peace.
Save and revisit your prayers: Save any prayer to your personal Library so you can pray it again, reflect on what God is doing, and look back over time to see how He has moved in your life.
Step 2 · Stories
Relate to God's Word Through Real Journeys of Faith
Discover over 220 curated moments from across the Old and New Testaments. See how people in Scripture walked in faith, lived in relationship with God, and witnessed His faithfulness through every season of life.
Search by theme or how you feel: Search stories based on what you are experiencing at any given moment, whether you need courage, patience, peace, or thanksgiving. This helps make the Bible immediately relatable to your daily life.
Easy to understand, always anchored in Scripture: Each story is described in an easy to understand way, and always paired with direct quotations from Scripture so you can read the full, original passage in context with one tap.
Connected to your prayer: When you compose a prayer, Elaya can suggest biblical stories that directly mirror what you are bringing before the Lord.
Step 3 · Bible
The Complete Scriptures in Your Pocket
Read and meditate on God's Word directly inside the app, from Genesis to Revelation, with a clean reading experience designed for quiet contemplation.
Built-in public-domain translations: Enjoy complete, immediate in-app access to beloved public-domain translations including the World English Bible (WEB), King James Version (KJV), and American Standard Version (ASV).
Access to other translations: If you prefer to read passages in translations such as the NIV, ESV, or NKJV, Elaya provides direct open links so you can view the passage in your preferred translation without copyright restrictions.
Step 4 · Quiet Time & Journal
A Purposeful Daily Devotional with Real Spiritual Fruit
More than a simple daily counter, Quiet Time gives you a structured, outcomes-based rhythm to guide your time with the Lord:
Daily Scripture Anchor: Begin with a chosen verse for contemplation. If you wish to reflect on something else, a single tap shuffles to another verse.
"What is God speaking to you today?": A dedicated space to write your personal reflection on the day's passage.
Practical Faith Step: Turn contemplation into action by writing one concrete step of obedience or love to practice today.
Thanksgiving & Answered Prayers: Track the blessings in your life and mark prayers as "Waiting on God" or "Answered", creating an altar of God's faithfulness.
Spiritual Insights & Themes: See your journey come to life through qualitative insights, tracking recurring themes in your walk, practical fruit, and testimonies of God's answers over time.
Custom Tags: Organize your reflections and prayers with custom and preset tags (such as Family, Healing, Work, Friendships, Guidance).
Step 5 · Optional Tab
Witnesses of Faith Across the Generations
For believers who treasure the communion of saints, Elaya offers a curated library of historical witnesses and miracle accounts organized by tradition (Coptic, Ethiopian, Syriac, Armenian, Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, and more).
Detailed Life & Miracle Accounts: Read rich, specific historical accounts with real names, dates, and locations.
Prayers of Intercession: Request a prayer shaped with the intercession of that saint, keeping your prayer addressed to God while asking the saint to stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace.
Completely optional: You can easily toggle this tab on or off in Settings to match your personal tradition.
